Flying in to SLC in July and spending the day

Any advice on what I should see and where I must eat while in town? It will be me, my husband and my six year-old son. TIA!

Re: Flying in to SLC in July and spending the day

  • You could go to Temple Square and look around. Its really pretty that time of year and it has to do with Utah history. Its a cool place to check out.
  • Oh and you should have breakfast at the Park Cafe. It is across the street from Liberty Park, (your son might like it there. they have a really cool water pond that the kids play around in), about 1300 S and 700 E. They have the best breakfast anywhere in Salt Lake and its inexpensive, DH and I go there every weekend for breakfast.
  • You could got to the Gateway Mall its in downtown SLC. I would also recommend the Temple Square there in temple square there are a few places to eat. The Roof or the Garden at the Joseph Smith Building its really good good The Garden it cheaper sandwiches and such The Roof I think its only dinner its buffet its at least 20.00 per person but great views of the temple and the city.  http://www.utah.com/mormon/joseph_smith_memorial.htm
