My "closer" needs to go away
Today...Cleveland is up, 5-2, going into the bottom of the 9th. In comes our "closer," Kerry Wood. Kerry Wood, who we're spending lots of money on. Kerry Wood, who was good at one point in his career.
Kerry Wood...who gave up 4 runs (including back-to-back homeruns) in the bottom of the 9th, to let Kansas City win, 6-5.
This is not the way I imagined our season going.

I hear ya. Our bullpen (blowpen) has lost us 9 games already this season.

You can blame Dusty Baker for Woods problems. Mark Prior, too. There aren't many pitchers that played for him that are still effective.
