my poor dog...stupidrain!
...how am i supposed to take my poor doggy out to take a poop with all this dang rain?? She is just a little thing and our yard is starting to flood. The water is already up to her belly in the neighbors yard. It is steady raining right now. The frogs are so freakin' loud, holy crap! Our rain gauge holds 8in. ...it was full, so i dumped it out, and i'm curious to see how much rain we get tonight.. Rain Rain Go Away! DH needs to work tomorrow you stupid rain!
Re: my poor dog...stupidrain!
Wow, I didn't know there was a raincloud emoticon! Sorry, I'm distracted by stupid things these days.
Awww...your poor dog! Is there higher ground nearby that you can carry her to so she can do her business? It looks like the rain may be a little more scattered than the past few days, so maybe some of the standing water will recede soon.
wow i looked at your pics...ours isn't that bad...the water actually soaked up last night i guess bc it wasn't as bad this morning. DH said that you'd have to wear boots to get to our garage that is back behind our house, he said the water is standing back there.. (yay for mosquito breeding grounds).....its not raining yet here...but im sure it will eventually...
I know it sucks owning a dog and having to constantly go out in the rain! But at the same time I can't imagine my life without her! My dog doesn't mind the water, and I think she purposley has to run through every large puddle she see's!
Here is a picture of her from one of her rain expeditions!
Yes, she is a CKC purebred! I love her to death!
So cute! We have a toy poodle, but want to get him a yorkie friend. Did you get her in Central FL?
i just called DH to ask if we could get our doggy, Diva, a rain coat...he laughed...hmph! We are going to petsmart tonight, and i plan on seeing if they have one for her! She is a Snorkie, a schnauzer & a yorkie mix!
KAandJJ that is so cute! If I put that on my dog she would not be happy.
Lady hates the rain, and everytime I let her out she just stands in the yard getting soaked, so to make her go potty quicker I have to put her on the leash and walk her until she goes. She is old and stubborn!
I hope it clears up some for this 3 day weekend!
Ha ha.. yeah she looks pathetic (like in the picture) at times. My mom got us the rain jacket, and DH is not a huge fan, but uses it on occasion... sometimes when he goes to walk her he just lets her get soaking wet... Now when it was cold out he was constantly putting on her big pink jacket and proudly walked her around the neighborhood... she's not a dress up dog... only when she needs it!
Yes, we got her in CFL from a family who has "rescued" her. She was exactly 1 year old when we adopted her from them (last November), and AF visited just 2 weeks later... so we got that taken care of in February! Lola has Napoleon complex, and loves to play with the big dogs. She wants a friend, and DH really wants an English Bulldog, so I'm thinking she will have a new friend within the next year!
We should all have a dog gtg....
KAandJJ -- too cute!
I'm impressed by all your small dogs braving the weather! I have two dogs (about 40 lbs and 85 lbs) and they are such babies that they won't even go outside if it's wet....Like I have to put leashes on them and drag them into our un-flooded fenced in backyard. They don't like their paws getting wet, apparently. The biggest one won't even open his eyes all the way if it's raining, he's such a wuss! I guess I only have myself to blame
I am in the Daytona Beach area too and almost got stuck on Nova Rd. It's a mess here.
I Completely agree!!
I also have a little yorkie, he's so little, doesn't mind the rain, but just from sniffing through the tall wet grass his head gets soaked and he looks like a little drowned rat! I wasn't even paying attention when I was walking him and my other dog earlier this week and I walked us right into a sidewalk that was ENTIRELY flooded!! I couldn't believe it.
Ugh, I feel so bad for them that when the rain subsides, I walk them forever, making sure they're getting their exercise!
jessiejay, i love that picture of you in her sig. how endearing!
