Hey Shirley,
Read your post on the new four day work week for you. How are other things at the office going for you? How is the morale there now that things have changed? Have you looked into anything else recently?
Just thinkin' of you!

Everyone is having a hard time with the fact that our pay was decreased. As far as the moral it could'nt be any worse. I hear the other people's story ie, they can't pay their bills, and feel really bad for them. People just do not know if they should stay or wait it out. I am not excited about getting my pay cut, but I am excited about having fridays off. It gives me more time to study and time to work on my home. I have been looking for other employment but have not received any responses. So for now I am just going to ride the wave and see what happens.
*****Thanks for thinking of me.
I just can't believe how much this recession has affected the whole world. I work for a non for profit who was a solid company when I started. Now they are swimming trying to keep their head above water. We are going to find out in a couple of months what is going to happen, they might have to close if things do not get better.
How is everything with your company? Are you afraid they are going to lay you off when you go on Baby leave? I know that the Advertisement business is really cut throat.

I'm thinking of both of you and your jobs, too. I hope everything turns out for the best.
Sorry to hear things aren't much better, well, except for the extra weekend day. Smart of you to use it to your advantage and provides you a day to go on other interviews!
Sucks that morale is so low. It's tough to love your job and your company when you hear your co-workers can't make ends meet. It prompts all the other employees to resent the company and leaves them less loyal. Hopefully things will look up for you.
My agency laid off 40 people in another dept last week and the remaing folks were asked to take a 10% pay cut. Yikes!
Luckily, my dept has downsized all that it can at this point. And my team was not part of the cuts because my team in our dept is so small. The baby announcement was met with excitement. And due to the agency's restructuring and centralization, our entire suite will have new residents in 2 weeks. And so I've been moved from my office (which is like a closet, no windows) to an office with a window! Super excited that I get to see the light of day now. So while I'm not making any big bucks, there are certain perks that come with being here for 4 years. I think I'll stay even after I have the baby...and who couldn't use the money these days.
