Max's update

So we have Max's diagnosis.  He has hip dysplasia w/arthritis but only on his left hip.  He has to be on pain meds.  Dr said he's had it for probably all his life.  He's home now...back to his normal self after a shot for pain they gave him.  I talked to the Dr re:surgery and she said its not needed b/c he just started complaining about the pain maybe we can manage it.  So here's to hoping for the best for our 1st born...Beer

Thank you all for all your thoughts & prayers.  They were really appreciated!!! I was heart broken all day until we got the results.  Things could have been much worse.  I'm glad its something we can def work with.

  • Thats great that it wasn't something major major. I'm glad to her you can manage it. Beer here's to max for a long happy life with no pain. =0)~
  • I'm glad, like you said, it could be worse. Hope he responds well to his meds. You may want to look into his diet as well, something that will reduce inflammation. Supplements such as flax oil and fish oil are wonderful anti-inflammatories that you can add to his food.
  • I really hope that everything turns out well for Max and that you guys are able to manage this issue with the right meds. So glad he's okay and that it's not something more serious!
