For those who have been to a Sandals Resort
Please give me reviews. Dh and I are planning our anni trip, and we are considering a Sandals resort. The Bahamian looks great and has an awesome special. I'd love to do St. Lucia, but the price difference is significant.
I'd love opinions/reviews.
THanks!

My cousin did St.Lucia for his HM and he and his wife RAVE about the place. They also conceived their daughter there!! LOL so maybe that has to do w/it too.
We've done two - both on Jamaica. We did Sandals Whitehouse for our honeymoon and it was amazing. Down side - if you are going for a short period of time there is a two hour van ride to get there from the airport. Definitely worth it if going for about a week - but if you are going for a weekend I probably wouldn't want to spend the 4 hours round trip. Everything else about that trip was perfect. Service was amazing, our room was perfect, the view, the activities... I could go on and on about how much I loved that place. For our anni we went to Montego Bay. It's one of their older resorts but was perfect for a weekend getaway. It's right next to the airport (like a 5 minute drive) so it's easy to get to, but you will also hear the planes taking off and landing. We got used to it and it didn't bother us for that kind of vacation but it would have annoyed us on our honeymoon. The service was great once again. The food was good but not as spectacular as Whitehouse. Overall is was great bang for our buck and we really liked it.
I've been to the Bahamas on cruises before and have always like Jamaica better. I like the beaches there better. I have a friend that did St. Lucia and gave amazing reviews as well - we just couldn't justify the extra cost.
Also - for flights, we have taken Spirit and Air Jamaica there. Air Jamaica is FAR SUPERIOR and worth a few extra dollars over Spriit. Usually I just go for the cheapest, but I would be willing to spend a little more to fly with Air Jamaica.
Anything else - just page me Hope that helped.
Rach - thanks so much! Def very helpful. Actually, all the flights that were included in the packages I researched were American. Thanks for the heads up on Jamaica's beaches... I was actually stearing away from there, for no actual reason. LOL
St. Lucia would be my first choice, but the price diff is significant. I looked into Antigua, and OMG it almost takes 10 hrs just to get there! For a short wkend trip, so not worth it to me. LOL
I guess I'll be researching some more tonight.
