In my previous thread about hiking and outdoor activities, a few of us vocalized interest in having a hiking get-together for us San Diego nesties. I'd like to get the ball rolling on that idea and see how many of you would like to take part. I think it would be a great opportunity to meet new people, get some fresh air and exercise, and explore new parts of San Diego. To make this simple, I have a few questions that will make planning this simpler.
1. When would be a good time to plan a hiking get-together? Specifically, what days in May would work for you? What day of the week and time of day would you prefer?
2. What location would you recommend?
3. Anything else you'd like to add!
Re: Hiking GTG
To answer the questions I posed:
1. When would be a good time to plan a hiking get-together? Specifically, what days in May would work for you? What day of the week and time of day would you prefer? The last half of May would work well for me; the 17th would be the first Saturday I'm free. I would like to have a Saturday or Sunday morning or early evening hike.
2. What location would you recommend? I'm fairly new to the area, so I'll leave that up to the rest of you.
3. Anything else you'd like to add!
That's too bad! I've only encountered a couple of snakes in my life while I was outdoors and they were never close enough to bother me. We could always go for coffee or something before or after we go hiking, so you could join in on that.
I'm also interested!!! With or without DH :-) This Saturday and Sunday work for me, as well as May 11, 18 and the 31st, I personally would prefer a Saturday though :-)
I'll go any where :-) Cowles Mtn sounds good (I've never been there though), I'm up to go any where... Close to my house I've gone to the Rancho Penasquitos reserve and to Miramar Lake.
We would love to come, but the only avail weekend is Memorial day weekend and we may still be really jet lagged from Europe so I may be out on this one
Next time!
I think Memorial Day weekend would be nice just because it's a long weekend, but I'll set up a poll in another thread and take a vote to get a better idea of what everyone would prefer.
