Weekend Plans anyone?

I just got word that they are letting people out at 2 today, so of course all i can think about is the weekend :)  Whats on your calendar?

Re: Weekend Plans anyone?

  • We are going to try and spend some time with family and friends. Perhaps a picnic. Yesterdays visit was really scary and it took its toll on the girls and us. We just want to be around people who love and support us right now.
  • This afternoon I'll get some yard work done if its not too hot, then tonight we're checking out the gay and lesbian film festival with some friends.

Tomorrow A's off to a double header and I"ll be getting some housework done.  In the afternoon/evening we're meeting up with BIL at Bubby's house where we'll paint house trim, garage doors, and tidy up the house in hopes it'll improve her chances of selling. Saturday night we have to make an appearance at my bff's party if A's not too exhausted by that point.

Sunday I think we're doing more work at Bubby's and helping a friend move.

Then Monday will be a picnic at my parents' house followed by a second picnic with friends.

i'm excited for the busy weekend since it'll help tuesday come that much faster :)

Potty Training. Crying We are staying home all weekend to hopefully get the deed completed. I am sure L and I will venture out solo to get some errands done (Costco, dry cleaners, grocery store) but we'll mostly be home trying to entertain the kids. Thankfully it is supposed to be nice out, so we'll be outside riding bikes, doing sidewalk chalk, painting on their easel, doing play-doh, etc. Maybe by Monday we can venture out to lunch. Hopefully, our friend and her son will come by at some point to alleviate cabin fever for all of us!

  • Tomorrow we're hosting a baby shower for my co-worker and his wife.  I have SO much to do still.  I don't know how I'm going to get it all done by 1pm.  But I am really looking forward to it as it will be the first time most of my co-workers have been to our place.  And we haven't had a party in awhile so a baby seems like the perfect excuse. :-p

The rest of the weekend will be spent catching up with on our to-do list and yard projects.  Hopefully the more I do the quicker Tuesday will be here.

  • we're heading up to her parents' house tonight as soon as i get home from work. she has to work tomorrow night so it'll be a short visit, but they've been asking us to come visit more often (how about that, huh?) and her sister/sister's gf are also available, so we're all going to go.

i'm not sure what else we're doing, but some friends are doing stuff sunday afternoon so we'll probably make appearances--although i'm not sure we'll stay long. we are thisclose to being done with the bathroom and we're anxious to finish up so we can move on to other things. like a nursery.

she's working saturday and sunday night, which is good because she's getting double time for both plus a vacation day to use later for working sunday night (which is actually her monday shift). i'm supposed to be off on monday, but it's looking more and more like i'll be in. in fact, at this point i'd say it's pretty much guaranteed.

  • We have no real plans this weekend except my niece's dance recital on Sunday.  I wish we could go up to the lake but it is smack in the center of the weekend.  I am hoping that we get some much needed rest and catch up on our dvr.  I also need to complete some school work.  One more big push and I should be able to slide into summer!

  • We are going to the beach tomorrow, that's all I know of this weekend...  Hopefully we will be able to have some alone time this weekend.
  • Tonight is Trav's birthday, so he'll open his presents... but he doesn't want to do anything special besides that. No going out to dinner, not even me cooking him something special. He's so funny. I'll probably make him something special anyway, but I guess we'll see.

Saturday so far we have nothing planned... just relaxing. The hockey game is on that evening, so we'll have that on.

Sunday is my friend's graduation party. Should be fun now that we're both looking forward to it!

Monday is another day of nothing.

    Pretty lazy weekend overall!

  • My ex is back in town after being on a 3 month "medical leave" so he will have my kiddo for the long weekend.  I'll be catching up on lots of chores and errands tonight and tomorrow.  Sunday my DP and I are going to take the ferry to Whidbey Island and drive up the island to Deception Pass and do a hike there and probably stay until the sun sets.  For those of you who haven't been to WA...google it, it's SUCH an amazingly beautiful place...if you ever come here it's a must see!  For once, we in Seattle are going to have an entirely sunny holiday weekend, which almost NEVER happens.  Monday we'll either sleep in and be lazy or catch another sunny hike closer to home.

  • Unfortunately, I have schoolwork...Sad But, hopefully C and I can find some Monday time just for ourselves.

  • My one goal for this weekend is to finally un-decorate the Christmas tree while S is working on her dissertation! I might also finish some yard work I started last weekend, if the rain stays away. So glad to have a three-day weekend, but three days are going to pass WAY too fast. I need a vacation!

  • Tonight we'll be celebrating my new job offer/acceptance (see post above).

Tomorrow morning I'll be babysitting for some former clients/friends for a few hours. They have a toddler (cute little girl I used to babysit) and a new baby boy (he's almost 6 mo). They want to go out on their boat, but the baby won't enjoy the trip so he and I are going to hangout. After that we may take our dog, Kai, to the dog park and then have dinner at home.

Sunday is a homework (reading and writing essays) day, with a trip outside since the weather should be nice.

Monday I (and maybe C) are going down to Folk Life (a music and art festival down at the Seattle Center) where our friends are playing. Then get ready for the busy week ahead.
