For those wondering... I had my baby at Fla Hosp Orlando campus. It's the one on Orange Ave. off of Princeton.
My experience there was really good. I had a scheduled c-section so I don't know if that helped make things easier. The Baby Place @ Fla Hosp was renovated recently so all the rooms had big screen tvs, pull out couches and a private bathroom with step in shower.
Most of the rooms are small (but comfortable) but they do have a couple larger rooms called Birthday Suites that are twice the size of the smaller room. They don't cost any more so it's definitely worth asking for... it's first come first serve. We were lucky enough to get one and it helped because we had a lot of visitors.
The nurses were all really nice... some were more helpful than others but that's the case at any hospital. I kept my baby in my room unless they had to run tests on her and I felt really secure knowing my baby was safe and in good hands. They offered a lot of support if breastfeeding and the lacataion consultants were all very friendly and very informative.
Anyway, hope that helped...
Re: Baby Place @ Fla Hospital
Thanks for the review!
I am thinking of using FH Altamonte (i work there)...
just an FYI the "Birthday Suites" actually are there for VIP or employees , but if the rooms are empty then they are 1st come 1st serve to regular patients. Thats really lucky that you got one, they are SO much nicer!
