Thanks again for all your support and well wishes!
The new job (which I just accepted) is for the "Graduate Staff Assistant" position for my program and the other grad program in the same department. It's part-time, mainly office and info sessions/recruiting, and includes a nice monthly stipend, benefits and best of all full tuition coverage for the entire 2009-2010 academic year. It means that I probably won't be doing much doula work (although I will try to teach some cbe classes and volunteer births my schedule allows). I'm really excited about the opportunity, but it is a change from what I thought I'd be doing next year. Best of all it fits in with PCP plans in terms of stable income, less student loan debt, etc, etc!
