Pasadena ladies!

We're planning to take a trip to Pasadena. We were there a few months ago & loved the city. We didn't get a chance to cruise around, so this time we want to check out Colorado and do tons of shopping and eating :o)?What are some fun things we can check out (keep in mind our 2 year old will be with us!)

Thanks for your help!!!

Re: Pasadena ladies!

  • I heard the children's museum near the Rose Bowl is great.  I think Marley would love it.  My friend took her 18 month old not long ago...  Not really in the category of shopping or eating, but might be fun to check out:

  • Brandy,

Take Marley to Kidspace.  There is an indoor play room with tons of toys and things to climb.  There is an outdoor area with a water table, tricycles, and other fun stuff.  If you take her, plan on taking her swimsuit just in case she plays in the water area.  It is not a place to "shop"  but would be fun to make a stop.

You can also check out the Huntington Library.  It is not too far from Old Town Colorado. It is a beautiful botanical garden/museum.  There is a kid's garden with water fountains and such.  Again, take her swimsuit or a change of clothes in case she plays with the water.

You can also check out the Norton Simon Museum.  It is an art museum.

Not in Pasadena, but about 10 minutes away is the Americana in Glendale.  It is an outdoor shopping mall with a trolley and a water show.  There is a playground on site as well as an indoor playroom (chalkboard and some jumbo legos) in the family bathroom in the main lobby.

  • My SIL took our nephew to kidspace couple years ago when he was 2.5 yrs old and he loved it.

There's also the Huntington Library (the garden is beautiful).

Since you mentioned Colorado, I am assuming you are going to check out Old Town and Paseo Colorado already.  There's a ton of good restaurant in Old Town.

Not in Pasadena, but close by is the Arboretum in Arcadia.

  • Ditto Huntington Gardens!

The roses are in full bloom right now and are beautiful...  I went with my mom on Wednesday for a late Mother's Day lunch at the Tea Room.
