Auburn girls: Lee OBGYN

Hey ladies. I asked for some recs on an OBGYN in the Auburn area awhile back and if memory serves me correctly, most everyone recommended Lee OBGYN (if I'm wrong, please let me know!). I need to make an appointment ASAP. Which do you recommend, the Auburn or Opelika clinic? Any doctor to try to get or any to stay away from? I need my yearly exam done but we also need to talk with someone about pregnancy/infertility related issues.

Thanks ladies, I very much appreciate your advice! Hope everyoe had a great long weekend!

  • I could use this info too because I need to get my yearly done soon and I'd rather not go to the medical clinic
  • Hey! I use Lee OBGYN, and they are great! I really like Dr. Kraig Smith- that's who I use. When I was pregnant, I did make the rounds and meet them all so I would be sure to meet the doc who ended up delivering DS- which turned out to be Dr. Smith. I really like Dr. Alverson and Dr. Golden too. They have two new doctors on staff- Marino and Henserling. Henserling is a female. I have heard great things about both of the new doctors. I think they all have hours at both offices- of course, the Auburn office is just a few years old so it's really a nice office.
  • I use Alverson at Lee OB as well.
  • I see Dr. Litsey.  I really like him, he has always been extremely nice to me and DH also.  I was talking to a nurse the other day and she asked who I was seeing...when I told her, she said he was really good. Said he was really thorough and OCD, which made most nurses not like to work with him, but he was usually right with everything and it was always in the best interest of the patient.  She went on to say that she would want him to be the one taking care of her if she were pregnant and/or had any complications.

I saw Dr. Kraig Smith one time when Dr. Litsey wasn't there.  He was really nice also.  I haven't heard many bad things about any of the docs at Lee OB.  Also, they do work at both clinics, so you would probably end up at either one depending on what the appt was for and where your doc was that day.
