Bittersweet - Congrats Duchess!

I'm thrilled your marriage is still legal!

Re: Bittersweet - Congrats Duchess!

  • Thank you! We are happy about that part. It really does feel bittersweet though.  It's just so unfair and I will never understand how this happened. Back to the drawing board.
  • How disappointing. I am saddened that the justices have chosen to be so short-sighted on this. This is probably how things will continue until the kids of today are old enough to be in positions of power. They will have grown up in a world with couples that are more diverse and open-minded than the people in power now. Maybe my son will live in a world as an adult where people are not so closed to love between people...regardless of gender. One can only hope.....

My Blog - Life, Love and Laughter No government can dictate who we love. Life is short...so do what feels right!
  • yes, bittersweet indeed.

but let's all remember that this was NOT a ruling on the court's opinion of whether our marriages should be legal--they already ruled on that quite clearly--this was a ruling on the process itself and whether the cali constitution allows measures like this to be passed in this way.
