Nashville/Brown County Shops?

I am visiting my mother in KY in a few weeks, and she mentioned this little town in Indiana filled with local shops.  It's about an hour and 20 minute-drive.  Is it worth a visit?

If you like shopping, yes. There are tons of local artists, trinket stores, etc. There are also a couple of good restaurants.

Yes, I live about 5 miles from there and its a great little place.  All kinds of local shops and artists (you can watch glass blowing, eat homemade ice cream, hollagram shop).  Its like a really, really small version of Gatlinburg, TN if you've been there.  If its a nice day, its well worth heading there.

We really like it there.  The shops are fun to browse and the gallery owners are very friendly.  Some galleries even do art lessons for small groups at reasonable rates because they include the supplies.  Ferrin's Depot has great ice cream and if you do the "train" tour of town first they give you coupons for about 20 shops.  It's open-air and feels great on a hot day.  Free parking is going to be much harder to come by on weekends, but most lots are only about $5.

It is absolutely beautiful this time of year! We love going. They have alot of beautiful little shops that are fun to walk around to.
