Need Help (School related)
Right after high school i went to a school that supposely was accredited and i was able to transfer my credits to dade or FIU to continue school. Well when i was done and i tried wrong i couldnt so i wasted thousands of dollars in school and couldnt continue. So i have to start all over.
My cousin works at Kaplan University and was telling me alot about there school and they have alot of perks. and also told me i wouldnt have that problem with them. There on online school. But am scared to waste more money and have to do it a third time. So i was wondering if you guys have heard of this school any bad or good. And what should i do??

Re: Need Help (School related)
hi,
Kaplan University is very popular and i heard lots of good things about that school. So you dont have to worry about it.
Also Phoenix University is good too, my husband is finishing in 2 weeks and graduating.
So dont worry.
P.S.
You said you transferred your credits to Dade or FIU and you could not?
Does your husband have a hard time with the whole online thing or its easy?
I tried to transfer my credits from the school i went to FIU or DADE and they didnt even take one credit. And i was told they would.
Let me tell you about online,
Every week you have something due. Like for his major he has Monday due some paper, then sometimes team assignment and during the week participate.
But it is not hard, i wish my major had it online.
Rita.

As far as the accreditation goes I received some wise advice from Claire who is working on her PhD, she explained to me that the school may be accredited and the program may not. I did not know this. I thought if the school was accredited than you were fine. This is not the case. So when I was trying to decide what school I was going to go to go to that played a big part in my decision. There is a website that you can go to and look up each school and the programs to see if they are accredited. I thankfully found out ahead of time that my first choice school was not accredited in the program that I wanted to attend so it made my decision that much easier. The non accredited school was much cheaper than the accredited (20,000 less). HTH
