Shower Invitation Wording - Help!
Hi - I just posted this on theknot.com too, so please disregard if you've already seen this there.
I am helping my friend w/her sister's shower invitations and need help wording 2 things.
First, they are registering for their honeymoon, along w/a traditional registry. The other thing is that she wants her guest to bring their gifts unwrapped. Any ideas on how to somehow explain these things on an invitation?
I've searched around and haven't been able to find any examples.
Thank you for any help!
Re: Shower Invitation Wording - Help!
we had a honeymoon registry. We used a little poem:
"The bride and groom already have the household items they need, so the registry they have is unique indeed!
Instead of a toaster, blender or spoon, you can help them to go on their dream honeymoon!
You can choose an experience for them to enjoy and remember forever, while they begin their new life together!"
As for the no wrapping, just put something like:
The bride and groom have requested that in light of saving some trees, please refrain from wrapping any gifts. Or something like that.
Thank you! I'll definitely use this!
I just got an invitation that had a separate little piece of paper that said..
For a greener option:
Save the cost and waste of wrapping and bring your gift unwrapped
or
traditional wrapping if preferred.
I thought it was cute.
