I know where to get the marriage license but i'm having a a heck of a time finding any more information than that. Anyone know where i can find out specifics of doing this type of wedding. It's being done for Military reasons. I am in St. Peters. TIA

Civil Wedding Ceremonies
Weddings are performed by Judges of the 22nd Judicial Circuit (City of St. Louis) as a service to citizens at no cost:
On scheduled Fridays 2 PM Civil Courts Building 10 N. Tucker Blvd. at Market St.
Couples planning to be married should come to the Court Administrator's Office - 4th floor - between 1:15 PM and 1:30 PM on the Friday afternoon they wish to be married, and bring with them:
1) Their Missouri marriage license;
2) Identification to prove that each person to be married is at least eighteen (18) years of age (for example, a birth certificate or a valid driver's license)
3) One of the two individuals to be married must provide proof of residency in the City of St. Louis (for example, a valid driver's license or recent utility bill); and
4) Two witnesses who are at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
No appointments will be made. Please contact the Court Adminstrator's office for the current schedule.

Civil Marriage Ceremonies
The judges of St. Louis County perform civil marriage ceremonies on Wednesday afternoons (see Marriage Ceremony Schedule below). Effective July 11, 2001 a marriage license from St. Louis County is required. Marriage licenses from other counties and from other states will not be accepted.
Getting the Marriage License
To obtain a license in St. Louis County, go to the Recorder of Deeds office in the Administration Building at 41 S. Central, Clayton. The office is on the fourth floor.
Effective August 28, 2007 Missouri state law will no longer require that a marriage license be obtained a minimum of three working days prior to the ceremony.

I knew someone once in Franklin County who just called the offices of different circuit judges and asked if they did weddings. There were a few that did but none had their date available.
Also, don't know if you belong to a church, but most ministers (maybe not Catholic since you usually have to do more counseling) can do a short notice wedding. When we were considering eloping, my pastor said "You know I can do a quick, quiet ceremony just like a judge can."
If you check out those JOP links I posted you can find someone that will come to your house or a park near you.
My sis had this lady come to her home and perform the ceremony in the living room. We had called her in the morning and she came that evening (long story). She charged like $100.

TO HAVE A JUDGE PERFORM A MARRIAGE
Marriages are performed by appointment ONLY. Parties need to bring their marriage license and two witnesses over the age of eighteen. Check in time is one-half hour (30 minutes) prior to the ceremony. All couples must check into Room 419 on the fourth floor. At least one (1) person per couple must be a resident of St.Charles County. A marriage license needs to be applied for in advance at the Recorder of Deeds office located at 201 N.
