How can we get our board more active ;-) The Knot site always has tons of activity, and so many of us crossed over to here now by getting married

I feel that if people know each other IRL, they are more likely to "talk" here too.
I think that the more people we know IRL, the less active the board will be. I know a bunch of these girls IRL and we pretty much just talk through email now.
And I agree with Emmerjill...people need to post interesting topics in order to make the board more active. I usually only reply if it is something I'm interested in, or something I know about. Of course, if one of my IRL friends posts something, I'll probably respond to that too.
And a lot of people don't post that much because of the troll crap a while back. I think there were a couple different people posting as trolls and while I know that one of them is gone (for now, at least), there is no telling when the other(s) will be back with nonsense.
I am all for GTGs, though, because I like to meet new people. Unfortunately, I have been seriously burned now by two people I met from this board, so I'm a little leary now. But I definitely look forward to meeting some of you soon.
Hey-- We had a very active board- i think the troll problems are resolved .. Post Away- we all pretty much know eachother here.
That really bites. I'm sorry you were burned by people. I've been really active on the NorCal and OC CA boards and had a ton of gtg's and never had any real issues. Of course there are always people that don't get along, but that is to be expected. I hope you won't let past gtg's keep you from the one tomorrow!

I am all for a more active board...I just haven't had much time to get on a computer lately. My husband got called back to active duty for the Navy so I am pretty busy taking care of my little man, working full time and maintaining a house...wait, make that two homes SOOO yeah things are good! Anyway, now that both my computers are back in working order, I should be around a little more.
