Why do plastic fasteners on bikini tops break?
So I guess one of the first signs that I won't be able to wear the swimsuits I purchased last year was when I busted out of my top while DH and I were in the car going to the beach. Luckily I had a sundress on and I go forgo the swimsuit top, but I'm miffed that the plastic fastener broke.
So....should I go back to the store and buy a larger size? Or try to sew some fabric to my old top? Or just buy a one piece?
I'd look silly in a maternity swimsuit this early, but my parents are coming down from Jersey next weekend and I want to go to the beach.
Thoughts? Other funny stories of bikini top malfunctions?

OMG!!! That's horrible...I'd def just buy a bigger size top. Maybe you can go for a solid color. You can find them at target and old navy so you won't have to spend too much money on it.
To tell you the truth...I'm afraid to see what the girls would look like in my reg bikini b/c they have grown. I think this summer I'm sticking to going into my pool...don't want any oops happening in public.
I'm looking forward to it !
That's the best part about being pregnant. I can't wait to finally get some ta tas!
I coudln't tell you, b/c I've never worn a bikini a day in my life. However, in regards to maternity bathing suits, they do have 2 pieces, and they do stretch (or don't stretch); basically they are just tank tops and bottoms.
Claire...I hate to break it to you, but I thought I was finally going to get some ta tas, and never did. Not to say that you won't, but I wanted to let you know that it's not a guarantee.

I'm sorry your top broke! That stinks.
My girls are big enough already. I'm a little scared how big they might get.
