Furniture Store Suggestions?
Hi Ladies,
I've been in Milwaukee for almost a full year now and my DH and I are trying to furnish our new house. We've been to Steinhafel's, Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn and The Home Market, but I was wondering if there are any local stores that anyone could suggest since I am not quite sure where to look! We're open to drivnig a ways if the store is worth it!

We got our leather couches from Steinhafels too in Waukesha. It's been 3 years and they are in great condition and they are super comfortable!
We bought our furniture 2 years ago at Ashleys and while we love our tables, I HATE our couch and loveseat. DH insisted on recliner and it feels like you are sitting on wood boards. Its terrible. I get back pains after watching a movie. I don't know if all Ashley furniture is cheap... but really, we were right out of college and we got what we paid for. ack!
Check out this website: www.roomandboard.com. This is one fabulous furniture store ... although it is in Chicago. My Husband and I bought a couch from there three years ago and it still looks and feels as comfortable as the day we bought it! We have lots of other furniture from there as well. Great customer service.
Make a day of going down to Chicago. There is one store downtown and one in Skokie, Illinois. PLUS ... every year on December 26 they have a HUGE sale on all their floor samples. We ask for room and board gift certificates for Christmas and then have a little spree after Christmas.
