So... I have finally entered the ipod world and have an ipod nano. Now to figure out how to use it!
Do you use itunes to download music or do you have other sites you would recommend? Any accessories you have that you like?
Thanks!
Re: ipod help
I've used iTunes most often for d/l'ing songs. In addition to the stuff you pay for, there are also tons of free podcasts on many different topics. I've found that a really fun source of new stuff to listen to.
A good case is a must. The nanos are less fragile than the classics or minis (what I still have) since they have the flash memory, but dropping them is still probably less risky when they've got a good cover.
Costco has an accessory pack for the iPod Classics with a car charger, FM transmitter, etc.; you might check to see if they have that for nanos too. I still have a tape deck in my car, so I just have an adaptor that hooks into that instead of an FM transmitter.
DH downloaded a free iPod tutorial pdf file from this site when he got his iPod and found it had some really cool tips and tricks. It's pretty long to print out, though! http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/library/
Have fun!
I have two iPods (a 3rd gen from way back in 2003 and a video) and my husband has the nano as well....I'm an Apple junkie. ?
?I personally download everything from iTunes because it's easy and I'm just too lazy to venture out to other sites.
?I had a case for my 3rd gen and honestly it annoyed the crap out of me so I rarely used it and have no idea where it is now. ?I hate the earbuds so I just use some headphones off of an old CD player I had (yep, I've had them that long).
?The only accessory that DH and I have for each of our iPods are arm bands so we can work out with them.
?Oh no wait, I lied, we do have several docking stations around the house so we can listen to them wherever. ?Two of them are clock/radio type of things and the third is just speakers with the dock. ?They are great to easily charge the iPods rather than hooking them to the computer if you dont have the docking station.
?I got a wall charger with my 3rd gen which I LOVE and hate that they dont include them as the standard package anymore....boo to that!
?Hope you enjoy your new toy!??
