We rely on Christine's BBT to know what is going on with her cycle, so as I laid in bed this morning (beginning at 5:58 am exactly) I could not wait for the alarm to go off (7:15 am). I was laying there anticipating a huge temperature shift (I am such a novice at this); kind of like a puppy waiting at the door for its owners to come home from work. With my tail wagging I pounced once that alarm went off, quickly grabbing the thermometer, turning it on and handing it to Christine. It seemed like it took forever for it to beep. She handed me the thermometer, but I could tell by her expression the temp was not what we were expecting. Yesterday morning we did get a small dip, and today the temp was higher...but not that much higher. I quickly jumped out of bed and asked Christine what I could google to see if a "high" rise is required to determine ovulation. I ran to the office, moreso for her not to see the tears beginning to well in my eyes, and quickly started googling. Let me just say, too many different answers out there.
We currently have a call into the doc as we are both willing and ready to do another IUI if she has not ovulated yet (Saturday's IUI was 36 hrs after the trigger shot); it is my understanding that an ultrasound can show if she has. My hopes aren't squashed though, and the pup wagging her tail this morning believes that the benefit of patience will reap a reward.
