Getting black out fabric sewn onto Ikea panels?

Does anyone know where I could get that done?

TIA!

Re: Getting black out fabric sewn onto Ikea panels?

  • I have no idea!  Maybe try a clothes altertations place??
  • Joann's sells various levels of Black Out fabric in a couple different colors. You can use a coupon to buy the fabric then take it to any drapery or alteration place with your curtain panels and they can give you an estimate. I would buy the black out fabric before getting estimates, because they might charge you a lot more to get the actual materials.

How many panels are we talking about? Can you show me a picture? I do a lot of sewing and I could probably do it for you for a small fee. :-)

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • That would be great!

They are like these sort of: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10135555

Same idea, same fabric. They are kind of a weird fabric so I'm not sure that it would work. What do you think, Mrs. Carroll?
