help- what time to get to the airport
My husband and I have a 2:25am flight Friday morning out of O'Hare. Do you think it would be ok if we got there at 1:30am or do you think we'll need more time? Thanks
Re: help- what time to get to the airport
Because we're fancy like that.
i'm heading out... but what i was going to say... was if you AREN'T checking bags, I think 45-50 minutes ahead of time is plenty. Unless you are parking in the economy lot, and then i'd give yourself more time.
if you ARE checking bags, I'd give yourself more like an hour and fifteen minutes. you never know. its super early, so the airport will be deserted, but that could also mean only one security line, fewer baggage screening places, etc. that could cause a few delays.
Because we're fancy like that.
Ready for summer!
From Mexicana's website- unfortunately, looks like you need to be there A LOT EARLIER than you hoped for-
For international flights passengers must be at Mexicana's Airport counter for check-in at least (3) hours prior departure.
For domestic flights passengers must be at Mexicana's Airport counter for check-in at least (2) hours prior departure.
If passengers fails to check-in and obtain a boarding pass within the established time, reservations and seat assignments are subject to cancellation without previous notice. Passengers may check-in as soon as they arrive at the airport as long as their itinerary is for the same day.
For passengers pre-check-in by the travel agencies or by Mexicana Sales Offices the following applies:
Passengers holding a boarding pass for a domestic flight with no checked luggage must be a the last boarding gate at least 30 minutes before schedule departure time and must contact a Mexicana representative.
Passengers traveling with luggage are required to check-in at the counter 60 minutes prior to flight departure.
And in both cases passengers must be at the boarding gate 30 minutes before schedule departure time.
Because we're fancy like that.
