Hey Ladies,
I live in Chicago and *might* be moving to the KC area. I got into a KU PhD program and am waiting to hear if they will fund me. If it comes through, my husband is in advertising and will be looking for a job. More specifically, he is a copywriter.
Anyone here in advertsing? I'm fairly certain this is a really really really hard time to get a job in advertsing anywhere and that KC would be no exception.
Anyone have a pulse on the advertising scene? Thanks so much.
Re: KC advertising market
Welcome to the group. I don't know anything about advertising really but I know there are several of people on another website that you and your hubby might like.

Good luck to you!
I'm in college studying advertising/pr, and I don't know that much specifically, but I do know that most of the agencies in KC either cut their internship programs completely or cut them down drastically. ?I don't know much about how their full-time positions are doing, but if the internship programs are any idea - probably not wonderful. ?Most people I know doing internships in KC for advertising had to take on another job to be able to make it work $ wise. ?
Still, with your husband's experience it seems likely he'd have a leg up. ?Good luck with your PHD program funding!?
