Went to the Mission on my birthday (the day before the wait was too long) and LOVED IT!!! I'll blog about it, but honestly I loved the food. I wish we had a place in OC like it.

Whee! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
And I'm sure there are plenty of places in OC that serve similar fare. I thought breakfast at Old Vine Cafe was lovely, and that's just one place.
Clearly your friendly OC yelpers could give you some tips.
I think we're going back in August, so excited. I can't believe I didn't have a chain restaurant meal all weekend!
I've been meaning to try OVC, eventually I will.
Chains are the devil!
