Chateau Avalon

Has anyone ever stayed there?  Is it worth the extra money?  DH and I are looking to stay there this Saturday for our anniversary (nothing like waiting until the last minute).  We were going to do one of the classic rooms which are like $189/night.  I think the only two available at this point are the Havana and the Lincoln (if that makes a difference).

If we don't do Chateau Avalon, then we will just do the Holiday Inn or Country Inn at the Legends..we are doing a comedy show, dinner, and whatever after that.

Re: Chateau Avalon

  • I've never stayed at Chateau Avalon but have thought it would be fun to stay at one of the casinos (if nothing else pans out).

    Happy anniversary!

  • we stayed at the Argosy and really enjoyed it for our mini moon.

  • I've never stayed at Chateau Avalon, but have also stayed at Argosy and it was awesome.

I'm on the fence on the whole Chateau Avalon thing. Part of me thinks it would be really cool, and part of me thinks it is super cheesy Wink But let us know how it is if you do go! I think maybe it would only be worth the money if you got to pick a room you thought was really great???

  • We decided against the Chateau Avalon.  Since we waited until the last minute, there were only like 4 of the rooms available.  The two in the lower price range were barely themed and not at all worth the extra $50.  We were going to do one of the mid-level rooms which would have been about $100 more than a regular room.  We decided we wouldn't be in the room enough to justify the extra money.  Plus, a regular hotel has continental breakfast where you have to pay for room service breakfast at the chateau.
