Strep Throat-Remedies to ease throat pain
My son is sick with strep and I think he gave it to me. My throat hurts so bad and I'm running a fever. Are these symptoms?? My DS is on antibioitics, so he is on the mend. I am hoping to get to the doctor! My DH won't come near me:(

Those are definitely symptoms. One thing I did when I had a horribly sore throat was gargle with really warm salt water. It was disgusting, but did help ease the pain for like a half hour or so. Which seemed like a good amount of time since I was in so much pain. I also sucked on crushed ice, but that only helped while the ice was in my mouth.
It sounds like you caught it from your son.
Get yourself to the doctor ASAP! Even if it is just a minute clinic or something. In the meantime, the only thing I can suggest for the pain is chloraseptic. (sp?) I hope you feel better soon! Strep throat is NO FUN.
