You delivered at LCMC? How was your experience?
I loooooooved that hospital! The staff was SO great (with one exception) and I looooved the rooms. And I was REALLY impressed with the food! Mmmm!
I had one of the newer rooms, so they are a bit smaller than the older ones (which are HUGE!) but it was so nice! And, I even thought the bed was so comfy!
I'm having hospital withdrawal!
Re: **Mandarod**
Yep, I did, and I loved it! The only thing I can complain about is that we had to be there for my induction at 6:30 am, and I didn't get called back to my room until nearly 8:30 am. But after that, everything went great. My nurses were all fantastic, and yes, the food was great! I was expecting typical nasty hospital food, and I scarfed down everything that was on my plate for every meal! I think DH was jealous (I didn't share my food!). I'm not sure if I had a newer or older room - I was near the suite (wish I could have been in it!) - so it's probably a newer one... I was thinking about changing doctors for the next kiddo, just because the hospital is a little bit of a drive from FM, but I love my doctor and since the hopsital was really great, too, I don't think I'll be able to!
My room was directly across from the suite.... oh, wouldn't that have been awesome to have the suite... it's $600/night though... can't justify that!
I ordered a few things from every category on the menu, so we got a lot of food... I shared with DH on night 2 (I was STARVING the first night... and man, that cheesecake was YUMMY!)
Yes, it's a bit of a drive, and would have been nice to have my appts close to Lewisville, but I loooove my doctor (Hoffman) and the hospital was really great. I'm gonna stay with him/it for #2.
I actually checked in the night before for my induction... it was nice, although, didn't get the GREATEST sleep b/c I was so excited, and that darn IV!
Butting in with my jealousy here! Don't know if it is b/c it is military insurance or we are in Japan or what...but there are NO inductions here until you get 2 wks past your due date!! So, technically I could go all the way to 42 wks, but I am REALLY hoping not to do that! Esp since my parents are coming a few days after her due date, and I know they want to spend time w/ her- not wait around w/ me to see her!
The hospital here isn't bad- the rooms are nice enough (no idea on the food) but you get no say on your dr (there are 3 here- you get whoever is on call when you go into labor) and they make you wait until you are fairly far along to even admit you- there are only 3 L&D rooms (technically- although they would find a place to put you if there are 4+ in labor of course) so I guess they can't fill them up w/ mommies who aren't "ready" yet.
I'm sure my experience will be fine, I've heard good stories so far, but you guys are making me a *tiny* bit jealous I'll admit!
