Where have you ladies bought furniture? Were you happy with your purchases? DH and I are moving from our one bedroom apartment into a three bedroom home, so we're going to need to buy a good deal of furniture. We checked out Raymour and Flannigan, and found their stuff to be over-sized and over-priced. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Re: Where to buy furniture?
Thanks Bonnie!
Craigslist is definitely on my list of options. I think I'm going to check out some second hand furniture stores as well. But I don't think I want to go second hand for a couch or anything upholstered, the thought skeeves me a little.
That would skeeve me out as well. I think our co-op has a rule against bringing in "used" mattresses and upholstered furniture.
And we're downsizing, so you can take our stuff!
I was going to suggest Craigs List (where we'll be listing some of our stuff) and also Ikea, as have been recommended already.
We also just moved from a 1BR apt into a 3Br house. The only furniture we've gotten since the moving is dining room furniture and it was from a local place (Central Ave in Hartsdale).
The bedroom set we just bought from Bob's is really good quality - it's just that their service sucks, but fortunately I care more about the furniture itself than the service.
I've also heard good things about Ashley Furniture somewhere in NJ.
