Oshkosh Girls
Hello all,
I am new to the boards, but not so new to Oshkosh. I went to college for 3.5 years at good ol UW-O and have been working full time at a local business for 2 years. My DH and I have been settling into Osh and found the home that we hope to close on at the end of July.
Those who are more familiar to Osh, what are your favorite gems of Osh? Favorite eaterys, stores, anything... I know our fav eaterys has to be Brooklyn and the Chalice. I love the martinis at St. James Place.
Any good furniture shops to check out? We are looking for lots of new pieces for our soon to be house and would like to get good quality for a fair price.

My husband and I lived in Oshkosh the first year we were married (went to school there, too). Our favorite restaurant was Fratello's, esp. in the summer by the water and with the live music. We also went to Durango's for Mexican food a lot. Sometimes we got subs, brought a bottle of wine and had picnics by the lake in Menomonee Park. Jeff's on Rugby for Fish Fry. Water City Grill is very yummy. I think you'll have better luck in Appleton for furniture shopping.
Water City Grill closed about 2 months ago.
I loved their Ceasers wrap..
I will have to check out Jeff's.
I figured Appleton was the place to go, but thought I would ask to see if anyone had something else to offer.
It closed? I'm SO sad.
I like fratellos too, they opened one on the river in Milwaukee. Good food both places. Love their crab cake sandwhich.
