Hi Ladies - New to the SC Board and have a Q

Hi!

I am in Columbia and am hoping to find a sitter to help me at home, beginning in the Fall.  About 15 hours per week.  More or less is fine.  Can be flexible.  Do any of you have thoughts on finding nannies?  I am new to this and need to get started soon.  I live in the USC area.  Thanks!!  I only just realized there is a Local Board, so I guess I will check in more regularly.

Re: Hi Ladies - New to the SC Board and have a Q

  • You might want to call the University to see if there is a list of students who babysit.

  • I know up in Greenville I'll see ads in the newspaper looking for nannies in the classifieds.  That may be one way.  Another way would be to just like the other poster suggested and contact USC to find out how to let students know there is a job available.

You may also want to try contacting some of the other smaller colleges in the area (like Columbia College).  Take it from someone who has attended both, it is often easier to deal with calling a college with 1000 total students versus USC.

  • thank you both.
  • I just sent you a private message!
