Ironing Alternative?

This might seem like a totally lame question, but oh well.  Here's the deal; I don't really like ironing, and my shirts are tricky to iron because of the darting and they are made of a stretchy material.  Is there something I could spray on to them and then just smooth out the wrinkles that would give a similar effect to ironing?  I'm not expecting miracles, but something that would be good enough that I could get away with it at work (pretty casual business casual).  Thanks!

Re: Ironing Alternative?

  • have you tried a steamer?   or the steam setting on your iron?    that way you can de-wrinkle with your shirts still on the hanger.    or... i remember seeing commercials a while ago for some spray product, and i thought it got pretty good reviews, but of course i don't remember the name now.     we always just throw our shirts for the day into the dryer with a damp sock in the morning... by the time we're showered and ready, they are usually less wrinkled, if not totally wrinkle free.

  • I never iron. I toss things in the dryer or I put them in the bathroom while I shower so it steams a little.

  • I bought one of those de-wrinkle spray things but I dont think they really work good enough.? I think some people would be perfectly happy with how they work, but DH got me all anal about ironing and I don't think they work good enough for a button down blouse.? A cotton shirt works ok with the spray, but not something that has a lot of seams and needs to look perfect.
