Lucky Day 13! What did you do over the weekend, workout-wise?

Did everyone keep up their shredding over the weekend?  On Saturday, I officially moved up to Level 2!! But I think I will need more than 10 days at level 2 before I am ready for level 3 - I am literally unable to breathe throughout most of the workout, and need to take a bunch of those little "5 second breaks" Jillian allows.

On Saturday, I only did the shred.  On Sunday, I taught my bellydance class and then took a yoga class with a new instructor at my gym, who is awesome, but HARD!  AND the air-conditioner was broken so we were sweating like we were in a Bikram class - I swear the studio had to be at least 85 degrees.  

Then I came home and shredded.  That was so difficult to get through - my arms felt like jello.  And I am HURTING this morning.  But it's a good hurt - makes me feel like I worked hard this weekend!

  • I'm not Shredding, but i decided to finally do *something*! So during the commercial breaks yesterday morning, i did crunches, push up, chair dips, and leg kickback things. I'm only mildly sore today. It's mainly my shoulders, which give me problems anyways, and i'm not used to doing push ups and chair dips. If i'm not observing a ballet class tonight, i'll do the same thing during commercial breaks for whatever is on tv. Big Smile
  • See: "Ouch..." from this morning. At least it is a wake-up call, I really need to start exercising again.
  • we hiked our butts off (or at least i hope mine will decrease slightly! Big Smile )

    Sunday was serious recovery day - my ankle had swollen up on saturday night, really scary looking. so i skipped the workout yesterday. today it is back to 30DS schedule - i'm going to have to move on to level 2.

  • Day 9 of the shred level 1! I did the shred on Saturday but called myself taking a nap on Sunday and just never got back up. So, I did day 8 this morning and I will do day 9 this evening, just like you did a couple of days ago. All is going well and I am happy with the results so far!

    I so wish I was closer to Queens so I could take your bellydancing class. I miss taking bellydancing.

  • I ran my 10K...and I actually felt good while doing it! I credit my shredding for really making a difference in my running. I skipped the shred a couple of days to prep for the race, but I'm back in the groove as of tonight. I just did my last Level 1 and I plan to start Level 2 tomorrow.
