Please help a WI nestie w/ recommendations!

DH is considering a transfer to Anderson, SC....so now I'm doing research! LOL

What areas are good to live in (or what areas should we avoid)? I'd like someplace with a good school district for DD, and we'd like at least a 4BR, 2BA home on some land (anything more than .15ac would be great!). Probably between $250-300K - is that doable??

TIA for any help!

Re: Please help a WI nestie w/ recommendations!

  • 1) Anderson is pretty much out in the middle of no where.

    2) 4br/2ba in SC is completely doable for $250 - 300k.  Probably much less in Anderson but in Greenville probably right in that range.

    3) I would suggest moving closer to Greenville for better schools.

  • Hi!  My husband and I just moved to Greenville and we love it here.  It's close to the Anderson area.  When it comes to looking for a home you will definitely find something in your pricerange... take a quick look at realtor.com.

As far as schools, Greenville schools aren't amazing, and they vary from school to school.  If you move near Greenville you do NOT want to be in the Berea school district, and the Simpsonville schools are the best public schools around from what I've heard from my friends with kids.

     Hope this helps!!!
