So I had my interview at the community center today.
I think it went pretty well. I interviewed with two women. They were both really nice and the questions were pretty simple. We talked a lot about my past experiences and why I didn't like teaching in Harlem (way too structured compared to my ideal kindergarten setting).
I was talking with them for about an hour and a half. They seemed to really like some of my answers and I think I impressed them with some of the things I said. ?
I got a tour of the facilities and they said they would let me know by Friday (they have 2 other girls to interview in the next couple days). ?
If I get the job I would have a membership to the center (which has a gym, a pool and also offers aerobics classes and CPR and stuff)
They also have health and dental, but I have great coverage through DH so I won't have to use that. The only down side is that it doesn't pay what I would like it to. (about half of what I would make teaching) but its a good place to start and I can't wait to work with kids again.
*fingers crossed* I'll keep you all posted?
