Julie got the job! YAYA about getting the great job. Scary part is that it's 1500 miles back home in Iowa. We have to be there by July 10th. They will help a little with relocation costs, however we have 6months left on our lease here, and I am petrified that I won't be able to find someone to take that over in that amount of time. I just can't seem to keep my head on straight, and I'm scared of having this stupid apartment go on my credit report!

Re: Scared . . .Sh!tless.
congrats to julie!! Big changes like this are always scary, no matter how much excitement comes along with it.
As for the apartment, there's no reason it should go on your credit report - worst case scenario is that your stuck with 6 months of double rent. Talk to your landlord, explain the situation, and see if there is anythign they would be willing to do; again, the worst case is that they say no and you've got double rent for a while.

Deep breaths! 6 months is actually a good long time to find someone to take over a lease. I think it's harder to sublet for a short period of time because the person knows they'll have to move again in a few months.
Just a word of caution: if you end up cutting a deal with the apartment company to get out of the rest of the lease, make sure you get everything in writing.
Congrats to Julie for landing the job!!

CONGRATS on the job news!!!
Congrats on Julie's new job!!!
PPs gave good advice. Talk with the landlord about options (them finding a new tenent, subletting, settlement, etc) and then make a decision. You have a couple weeks to find someone!
Congratulations!
That is a big change but it sounds like you will be happier back home. PP's gave such good advice about the lease. I hope everything works out.
Keep us posted :-)
Congratulations! I would give anything to move back to the midwest. Hope everything works out well with the apartment.
