are all Dr. offices crummy in KC?

I really hope there is an RN or someone from a doctor's office staff on this board because I'd REALLY like to know why every office staff I have to deal with, every nurse I have to talk to - is SOOOOO rude and unhelpful?

The worst seems to be dermatologist offices... they must be in such HIGH demand (or only work such short hours) that they are booking 2 months out... COME ON!  Seriously!?  I call the dermo office I've been going to for years and say I need to get in as soon as possible that I have a rash that won't go away, my GP tested me for Chicken Pox and gave me a steroid and it STILL won't go away.  The stupid lady on the other end of the line says "well we are booking into July now" - seriously? I'm suppose to walk around with this for another MONTH!?

I called a couple other dermo offices and they were just as high and mighty.  I feel like every time I go into my Gyno office or even my GP office the entire experience is unplesant - the front desk girls are never friendly, the nurse acts like she's just getting through taking my blood pressure and asking why the hell I'm even there before she can leave, put my chart by the door and make me wait forever and a day.

What gives?  Why are doctor's office like this?  Anyone have thoughts on this?
