RE: License Plate Issue

Thanks everyone for the response.  I found the proper form for replacement on the TxDOT website late last night.  I printed it out, filled it out, and turned it in this morning to the Tarrant County Subcourthouse in Hurst.

Indeed, the license plate has been listed as stolen through TxDOT.   The law in Texas for plates is that you MUST have them on both the front and back of your car.  If you ever have to replace your plates on your car, you must bring in the remaining plate and $6.30 to the Tax Assessor Collectors office.

Not only did I receive 2 brand new license plates (they expire next year anyway) but I also received a new registration sticker (same month, year that my other expired) because your license plate number is listed on your registration sticker.

The new plates are on the car, new sticker too.  Now we are ready to leave for Utah tomorrow morning!  Yay!!!

Thanks for the advice again!
