Do you think a rescue would give me a rabbit that I would keep in my classroom? I'd take it home on the weekends. TIA!
Re: Animal rescue ladies
I'd say it's a mixed bag, some rescues would be more worried about grabby/pokey kids. If you plan on keeping the rabbit, I know a lot of shelters have them constantly up for adoption (Orange County does). http://petadoption.ocpetinfo.com/animal2/AdoptList.asp?type=Other & they don't really "screen" so they have no problem with classroom pets.

Definitely... Just make sure you get a rabbit that likes attention and being held and stuff if its for your kids. There are a couple at the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter that do.

my friend is REALLY, REALLY into bunnies and has rescued 5. If you want her email address let me know and I can give you some info. She is kind of a bunny freak. Like she had to take her bunnies to a psychic because the foster mom required this before moving more bunnies in.
we tease her endlessly about this.
