Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill
How is it? I just looked online and the website really didn't give me too much info. My DD is 14 months and I'm looking for things to do w/her and my friend and her DS whose 24 months. Worth it?
Re: Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill
I have went several times, once since they re-did a lot of it. It is really cute. It can get very crowded on weekends but I took my daughter when she was about 16 months or so and they have an area specifically for littler kids, under 2 or 3 I believe. They also had other things for her. She loved the giant light-up peg board(like a big light bright). They have an area with a stage and music instruments and dress up outfits.
Oh and she loved this beachy looking area where they had an air vent that pushed a beach ball into the air. She was mesmerized by it. Tons more there, I think it just depends on the child. My daughter liked certain things and didn't like others.
I would say it's definetely worth it. But if you can go during the week it might be more fun.
I was there once and wasn't overly impressed with it. I think the fact that while we were there there was also at least once class trip and the older kids were running the little ones over. I also don't like how adults have to pay when there's nothing for us to do in there but watch our kids play. I guess I'm cheap.
Two of my favorite places to take Elijah are Kid Junction in Mt Laurel and Spread Your Wings in Sewell.
