Visiting Knoxville... good home design shops/flea market shops?

Hi, Knoxville Nesties!

I'm visiting my husband this weekend while he's on an extended business trip in Knoxville.  I'd love to find a few good shops/boutiques for home design items... no chain stores unless they are just micro-chains in the immediate area.

I'd love to find a few good antique/flea market-type places, as well.

Good places to eat or neighborhoods to stroll?

Any suggestions would be welcome!

I don't know if we have anyone from Knoxville - I hope we do though, I'd be interested in stores there, too.

Hmmm, there are not a lot of neighborhoods to stroll. The best place to go and hang out is downtown on Gay Street and through Marke square. There are a couple home decor shops and it is a fun little area. There is a parking garage right behind market square that is free on evenings and weekends. Down there are some great restaurants. My favorites are Tomato Head and Nama. Downtown Grill and Brewery was a common hang out during college but it is nothing fantasic. While you are down there, if you want to, you could venture onto campus. Let me know if you have anymore questions!!!
