Re: Uh-oh, bad news for SDSU.....

  • I am so glad that the drug problem at SDSU is being exposed. I graduated a year ago and it was so insane. I used to watch people do drugs right out in the open on campus. I propositioned a few times to buy "study drugs" while studying in the library for finals. I always wished that school officials would address the drug problem rather than turn their heads...so I am so glad to see that it finally got exposed. This bust is only the tip of the iceberg.

I lived in on campus housing my whole time there and was apalled at the amount of illegal activity that took place...

  • I was never propositioned nor did I see any drug use on campus during school hours. The most I've seen was in high school when I'd go to State parties...

You have to be smart when you're in that business... I guess they weren't smart enough :)

  • ^^ I should clarify...the drug use I saw was in the campus housing (Zura, LLC, Tenochca, Cuicacacalli) portion of campus..not by the classes.
  • I don't know why this was so shocking to people...drug use is rampant on most (if not all) college campuses.  I went to a smaller college and knew that there were people doing it...I was never offered them because that was not the circle of friends I was in, but knew who was doing them and where to get them.  Students are risk takers and don't have boundaries with regards to themselves...this is a generation where experimentation is encouraged and thrill seeking is the norm.  The shock for me is the blatant way this was being carried on...it wasn't an underground operation and at least 2 people died as a result of the drug culture at SDSU.  I think it would still be a big thing if it were in another city, but the fact that it's here, hits a little closer to home.  It's a sad epidemic that these idiots followed this path, but now they (and their familiies) have to face the consequences of their actions.
