A local radio station that I listen to on my drive in the a.m. just started this segment and I thought perhaps it would be fun to do here to.
Name the top 5 living celebrities (athletes, politians, actors, writers, etc) you'd like to have dinner with.

Re: Top 5 Friday
1. Reba - I just love her. She's an amazing story teller and her life has been fascinating. I'm sure it would be a lovely conversation.
2. Bill Clinton - I'd like him to look at me and tell me if today he truly feels that DADT and DOMA strengthens our nation.
3. Michael Jackson - Because he's like a train wreck you can't stop watching. Plus I'd like to see if he's capable of normal chit-chat.
4. Barak Obama - 'Cuz he's the President - nuf said?
5. Queen Elizabeth - She's royalty and her life is like nothing I can imagine. I'd really like to hear her story directly from her.
1. Bono
2. Ellen
3. Rachel Maddow
4. Barack Obama
5. John Mayer

1. Barack Obama
2. Robert Pattinson
3. Ellen Degeneres
4. Diane Lane
5. the dalai lama
It is hard! Others I considered were Wanda Sykes and Sarah Waters (author) (but I thought more than half of them being lesbians seemed like overdoing it, ha ha), and Michelle Obama. Kathy Griffin is an excellent runner up too!
Just my first 3 - Bono, Ellen and Rachel Maddow would be plenty to keep me happy for one dinner!!

I had to really think about this - and I am still not sure this is who I'd end up with.
1. Ellen - for the funny factor
2. Rachel Maddow - although I'd worry I'd seem really stupid - she is so freaking smart.
3. Jon Stewart - Love the Daily Show and he cracks me up
4. Michelle Obama - seems more understated than the other guests - can't have too many extroverts at the table!
5. Hmmm...I need another man....I need to think about this more.
1. Hillary Clinton--I find her amazing, plus she said a line about Bill that reminds me of Christine and I: "We started a conversation all those years ago that, you know, continues up until today."
2. Suze Orman--does one really need to ask why
? (kidding Christine, just kidding)
3. Pat Summitt--She's an AWESOME coach!
4. Don Miguel Ruiz--It would be wonderful to have a conversation with him about his books "The Four Agreements" and "The Mastery of Love" while he and I sipped on herbal tea.
5. Nikki Giovanni--the way she touches the paper with her pen...yeah...
You meant to say Geno, right?? And I thought we were friends....

1. Robert Pattinson. I find him fascinating, and goregous. I wonder if I'll find him attractive after our dinner or if he truly is as boring as he claims.
2. Bill Clinton. We need to talk about DOMA, and DADT.
3. I don't know if she's a celebrity really, but she keeps a blog I'm fascinated by. http://thepioneerwoman.com/. I just think her life is so cool.
4. Ellen. NFT.
5. Obama's.
1) Oprah - She is amazing and inspirational.
2) Jenny Shimizu - UGH! She is gorgeous!!!!!
3) Dr. Phil - I want to know how helping so many people affects his life.
4) Heather Armstrong - She blogs for a living and is a tad bit crazy but she is someone I can relate to. http://www.dooce.com/
5) Patricia Cornwell - Definitely a smart woman, someone who could suck me into a conversation.

I love Jon Stewart. His facial expressions crack me up and I love how he is always picking on FOX.
