reminiscing...

I was at Scholar's choice yesterday and stumbled upon an album i've been looking for, for months - I immediately grabbed it off the shelf - paid for it and the second we were in the car, it was on.

I heard the first song and my heart felt like it was shining like the sun.

The whole album is bringing back so many memories of my own childhood and I bet when my mom comes down on Saturday she'll burst into tears when she hears it play for the first time.

Anne Murray - There's a Hippo in the Tub. Classic. I still know all the words to all the songs!

Re: reminiscing...

  • Cute, I might have to keep my eye out for that for J!
Proud Mama to two sweet kiddos.
  • He will LOVE it!

The lady at the checkout said her son can't get enough of it.

I've already played the whole album 3 times since yesterday and D already responds to a few with smiles and perking her head up

I can't believe I still know the words. I immediately feel like I'm 5 all over again.

  • OMG!!! Someone bought that one for Scarlett and I cried when I listened to it. ?I love that one, I sing her Teddy Bear Picnic all the time it was my favorite song.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I saw that at Chapters last year and was soooo tempted to buy it for J!

My copy was on vinyl Stick out tongue

    Mine too!

My mom is coming today  and I plan on playing it when she sits down on the floor to play with D. She is going to lose her mind in emotions.

  • OMG I still have that tape!  I refused to throw it out because I knew I'd need a copy of it for my kid(s).  Apparently I can part with it and go buy the CD.

I loved that whole album when I was a kid!
