Re: Go Penguins!

Sidney Crosby's classless behavor is an embarrasment to the sport of hockey. If you actually know and understand the culture/community of hockey, you would realize that you just don't behave the way he did at the end of the game. Also, at the end of the first game, Crosby slashed one of the red wings as he skated off the ice. He has exhibited this kind of classless behavior in the past, this was not the first incident.
He is a great, talented player and the team deserved to win, congrats to them. Hey, they wanted it more than Detroit, but Crosby really needs to take some class lessons from Lidstrom, Yzerman, Modano, Sakic, Messier, etc. The Kid has a lot to learn!
I agree. I could not believe all the booing. In one of the games that is watched by many "casual" fans and played in many sports bars, the booing really didn't give off a good vibe for hockey. I thought it was in extremely bad taste of the fans of Detroit, especially since the Wings just won the cup in Pittsburgh the year before!
And while Crosby may have some growing up to do....I am sure if the cameras followed other players as closely as they do Crosby there would be criticism of other players as well.
Congrats to the Pens!
Yes, they were booing Crosby's unsportsmanlike behavior not the fact that the Pens won. Huge difference! I watched the finals last year when Detroit won in Pittsburgh, and the Pens' fans booed as well. Why did they boo?
Crosby said he was celebrating with his teammates, but did not apologize for not upholding the NHL playoff tradition of the captain leading his team in a line to shake hands with the opposing team.

And he's just making the situation worse. Hockey players don't forget. Lemieux has some spanking to do.
