My girlfriend and I went and saw "My life in Ruins" this weekend. You know the one with the girl from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". It was a cute movie. Not as good as "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" but it was still cute.
I won't put any spoilers in here incase some of you want to go see it.
Has anyone gone to the movies lately and seen anything good?
Re: Movie time
No Holding out for Transformers! Lol. I heard The Hangover was great, though.
I want to see both of those too
Holding out for the Transformers as well! The last movie we saw at the theater was Terminator and we really liked it. Not as good as Star Trek (best movie yet this year), but still entertaining.
I want to see My Sister's Keeper since I finished the book a few weeks ago.
I would love to see My Sister's Keeper but since I'm a hormonal mess I will be crying the entire movie. So I'll wait till my hormones are back to normal before I see anything like that. i.e. this weekend I flipped on to John Q by mistake and I was getting teary just thinking about the movie.

DH & I rarely go to the movies, but I am dying to see The Hangover!
I know it's old news, but we watched Batman: The Dark Knight last night on cable and it was GREAT! I didn't even want to watch it because it's really not my kind of movie, but it was really, really good. If you guys haven't seen it yet, I recommend it.
Watching films at the movie is just ridiculously expensive these days =( . We're holding out for transformers as well.. I recommend that you guys checkout Cinebistro. That's how we're looking to watch transformers. Yes, it's a lil pricey, but to watch the movie in HD while drinking a martini and having steak makes the experience so much better!! DH only go to cinebistro for really anticipated movies (last time we went was for Sex and the City, lol). So although we dont go often, when there is something worthwhile, we'll splurge a little.
Otherwise we just wait to Netflix..

Ditto this...We tried to go see it yesterday but I wasn't feeling to well so the plan got nixed! I ended up seeing Baby Mama on HBO and Amy Poehler was hilarious!
Their prices got cheaper!!! I believe if you hit the matinee then its $10. Their service isn't great...if you compare it to the theatre in Boca. Now the one is BOCA is out of the world, its like watching a movie at a steak restaurant. Now the one in dolphin is only worth wild b/c of the screen. AMAZING!!! I've seen indiana jones & star trek there. WOW....incredible!!! And if for any reason your service is great COMPLAIN!!! I did...I scored 2 free tickets.
SWEET!!! Now DH and I are going to be looking for someone to mess up. LOL.. We'll take it to Mngmnt.. he he he
?Sounds like the Premier at Muvico in Boca.?
This is why FI and I hold out for movies. We'll splurge and see Transformers and HP6 up at the Premier, because heck if I'm sitting down on the bottom with a bunch of screaming 14 year olds. ?
You know its not the 14 yr olds that we have problems with its more adults that feel they need to talk or fight through the whole movie. I haven't been to a movie down here in 3 yrs where I haven't had to ask the guy beside me to be quiet so I can hear the movie.
Oh and last weekend we went to the early show and wow were there a LOT of older people with that nasty purfume on. You know that old person stuff they like so much. ewww, I had a headache the rest of the night.
