more doggie Q help- groomers & boarding in the city

I'm new to the area and just aked the vet question below. Can someone also recommend a groomer and a boarding place in the downtown area.

We have a little bichon and usually gets groomed about once a month back home and would like to continue that here in the city.

The boarding place I found are expensive, but more importantly I'm looking for a good one. Any recommendations?

Hi!  We have boarded our dog at Best Friends Windy City at Elston & North and were happy with it.  We've done training there too. 

Also, on the vet, we go to Burnham Animal Hospital, which someone already mentioned, on S. State St.

We take our pom Goldie once a month to Petco on Orleans and Illinois(Just across the street from us) and our groomers name is Gio. She has a lot of hair and we've always been pleased with his work. We've never boarded Goldie since my mom usually takes care of her. We have a dog sitter, if you want his info page me. Urban outsitters on Randolph boards dogs, and seems ok. ??

We take our dog to Stay on Rockwell just North of Irving Park Road.  They do a fantastic job grooming and have wonderful boarding and day care services.  We have tried several groomers, and Stay is the one place that actually listens to what we want done and do a terrific job!

I can only respond to the boarding.  We are with Fit Dog Fit.  They will come and pick up and drop off your dog for doggie day care.  Also they have boarding. 

DH got the recommendation from the dog park (2 different people recommended it) and he went to the place and like it.
