I love her to death, but sometimes I'd just like to really tell her what I think. She wants us to have some pictures taken that are identical to ones that SIL had done with her daughter. Same poses and in b&w, EXACTLY, down to the frame! I don't want to have to do everything SIL does, especially since we can't stand her FI and don't want them to think we are copying them.
We have a photo session booked with Val and I told MIL that I would have her do some pictures just like that, but I think I will have amnesia that day
Re: MIL
I can definitely relate to you. My MIL thinks just cause all the other cousins gave their babies burritos at 6mths that I should do the same. Or just cause they are all ok with dollar store pacifier and toys that we should be too.
Why does she want the exact same pictures? That just seems really pointless. I think amensia would be a very good way to go.
Oh MIL's...... : / lol.
I want to see these pictures that she likes so much : )
speaking of pics-val and amy have totally spoiled me. Some co worker was going on and on about what a good photographer her daughter was and she showed me her website, and I could think was "Val and Amy are so much better than this"
Irma- I like the idea of forgetting about the certain poses!
For dh and I photos are really important and we just can't understand how people settle for poor photos of themselves, family and kids. I just seriously do not understand. I would rather have fewer "professional photos" that are high quality rather than lots of poor quality. All my friends use JCPenny for their photos and they are horrible!
Agreed, I took pics of baby niece awhile ago and SIL loved them so I told SIL if she ever wants me to do the girls pics again I'd be happy to since I'm always looking for ways to practice. She said she'd def let me know but still takes the girls to Sears! I dont get it! Not that I'm a pro in any shape or form but I could probably do a better job with my DSLR than JCP can.
They're from Sears. They are nice, but I don't see the need to copy SIL. Even if I do "forget" to ask Val to replicate them, she will make me take the baby to Sears, with the incentive that SHE will pay to have them done. Of course DH will acquiesce to his mom to keep the peace.
