I'm headed to Wasilla in a week to visit my sister, and I want to get my hair cut while I'm back in the US. A haircut costs around $80 here , and I want to send it to Locks of Love while I'm in the States anyway.
Right now my hair is almost down to my waist, and since I'm going to cut a lot off, I thought I might as well just go all the way and cut it really short. But since it's a big change and I don't really know what will look good on me, be easy to maintain, etc. I want to go to a salon that I can trust and that will be able to help me out with suggestions.
Price isn't really an issue if there's a place you think would be great, but I'd prefer to limit it to around $40. Is that even reasonable? My sister tells me that Alaska is expensive, but I don't know how expensive it really is. I'm guessing you can still get a haircut for under 80 bucks!
(And I know that Wasilla isn't really in Anchorage, but I have a feeling we'll be spending some time in the city anyway for sightseeing, visiting her office, etc. If you know of a place in Wasilla, that would be awesome, of course!)
Thanks a lot!
Re: Recs for a Salon in/around Anchorage?
Do you think they'd be willing to walk me through this? I seriously have no idea what kind of short style would look good on me, and I'm afraid of being one of those annoying clients who doesn't know what she wants.
Thanks so much! I ended up making an appointment at Chez Ritz with Estelle. She was fantastically patient with me, and I love my cut!
